BDL bottom metal, does it matter?

There's nothing wrong with aluminum. The Badger M5 bottom metal on the USMC M40 & army M24 sniper rifle is aluminum. Sure it can be overtightened, so can steel. So long as you observe the proper torque specs it works just as well as steel.
