same type I built, works very well, I have about $12.00 in mine, using scrap aluminum, and new sq. stock.

I did order a 1-1/2 bar of 6160 aluminum off Ebay to make a few custom bushings. The one supplied for Remingtons is too big for the sporter size barrels.

I have been making my own barrel vise and action wrenches for 10 years.
I have been using 6061 1.5" round Aluminum stock for the collets.
With Kroil on the threads and powdered sugar or corn starch on the barrel and a 3' cheater bar, I can apply 500 foot pounds of torque to a rusty 1930's 91/30 and get it off.
