Another vote for Hammer bullets. 17 deer this year, all pass through, minimal meat damage. 6mm, 25 cal and 6.5mm. None went far or drt. Should be gettin my new 338 this week. I'll also be feeding it Hammers. Try them. You'll like them!

I've used the TTSX and LRX in .260 Remington and and 300 Win mag. I like the LRX better in both. It has been easier to load for, has a better BC and opens at a lower speed than the TTSX. I usually limit my shots with the .260 with the 127 LRX to 500 yards. but have killed game with the 300 win mag out past 700 Yards. I have ha very good results with the terminal performance of the LRX.
I tried the GMX a long time ago, and it didn't shoot as well as the TTSX so I never did much with it.
I grew with jcc that you probably want to sort the bullets because they vary more than good match ammo, both in weight and BTO.

Don't really know. It's a pre war R.F. Sedgley Springfield Deluxe grade sporter. Probably one of one. It shoots the same bullets and loads as my M38 and M96 Swedish mausers and just as well, so I'd guess 1 in 8 or 9.

I love the 6.5 127 lrx I shoot them in our Creedmoors. Very accurate for me and have killed many critters with them. Largest was a cow elk at 600yards. Antelope at typical Antelope distances 200-350 and one at 660 yards. Several deer, whitetail does, and a few mule deer bucks. All one shot kills. I haven't loaded up any in the 6.5 PRC as I'm holding out for the LRX with a heavier weight in 6.5 (no idea when it will come but barnes told me they were working on it and I'd be happy with it in the 6.5 PRC.)
I have a box of 129lrx in .277 but haven't loaded any yet. But if they shoot anything like the 6.5 they ought to be great.
I decided I would spend money on the lead free and keep fragments out of my meat. Fragments are hard on a grinder and harder on teeth and humans.

Hornady does 140 gmx in 6.5.... that is probably for the prc and not so much the creed...
The 130 tsx is more accurate than the 127 lrx in all of my 6.5's. Terminal performance is about equal out to 700 yards (excellent). Back to accuracy; tuning the txs is easier since more consistent bullet length where as the lrx due to its plastic tip. Both need a jump of atleast .050" out to .125" col depending on the rifle. Both I feel need around 1800fps at your target to get superior penetration. My powder selection either RL 26, RL22 or H4831SC. Accuracy for all is .75 moa or less.
