Bank of America Tells McMillan Group to Find Another Banker

When I was in the Air Force all of our issued Government Travel Cards were through BOA...seems like they better drop that account too otherwise they are hypocrites...oh wait they already are cause they call themselves Bank Of AMERICA...or is it AMERIKA now?

Mike....

When you drink the Kool Aid like they did, it can be anything the current administration wants it to be....

I can handle Glenn Beck.... marginally. Hannity is another story. When I hear his voice on the radio, my reflex is to turn it off. I hear his voice and I think about the Waterboarding issue.

I just wanted to let you guys know I had a visit from the Bank of America State President yesterday. His position was I misunderstood Mr Fox, though he never claimed to know what Mr Fox had told me because he wasn't in the room. I felt as strongly about my position concerning the events of last week as I did before the meeting. He did not tell me they really wanted me to stay with them, as a matter of fact he still confirmed he wanted me to close my accounts. That is so weird. I could see them asking to pay off my lines of credit if they were a problem, but I have never heard of a bank asking anyone to find another bank.

I read the article that was posted and I have to say I admire the way you guys handled it. And not accepting BofA cards as payment any longer shows how serious you are about sticking to your guns so to speak. Thanks for the update!

To be very open about this, I have checked with our merchant services provider and we have signed a contract with Visa and MasterCard that allows for us to choose. We can accept all Visa and MasterCard cards or none. We can not refuse to accept a specific card based on the issuer. So being the straight forward honest company that we are, we will continue to accept BOA credit cards when our customers have no,other options available to them.

WE will let everyone know when it happens though it will probably take a couple of weeks. We will announce our new bank on our Facebook page as well as our website.

I've already received my NRA VISA card and am waiting on BofA to cash in my points before formally terminating my credit card relationship.

NOTE: If you just cancel, the redemption-of-points-for-cash opportunity is forfeited. Really!!! Had I not reached a very polite and knowledgeable rep who tipped me off, I would have just cancelled and been out - in my case $80. Heads up!

With me, prior experience is the best teacher. Cabelas=points for gun related stuff. 'nuff said.

Besides, unlike most cards the APR is 9.9% on unpaid balances, not that I ever have an outstanding balance.....

What is the APR on an NRA card BTW?

Per the NRA card site - "variable APR between 11.99% and 18.99%". As I also don't run a balance, no issue for me either.

We are the exception, not the norm. Most cardholders have a carryover balance. If I did, the Cabelas card is the best bargain.

What I really like about it is their affiliates program where you get double or triple points for buying throiugh their (Cabelas) website. I bough tires for my Caddy last year (4 Dunlop Gold Seals) at a good price from Tire Rack and got triple points plus an excellent price. Can't beat that.

Just shredded a Tractor Supply Card (I get cards all the time). Their interest rate was 25% on unpaid balances. Thats' leagalized loan sharking IMO.

Cabelas is 9.9 fixed BTW.

I'm probably going to get beat up for this but I have an issue with the NRA and I'm a member BTW. I get real tired of the constant asking for donations under the auspices of fighting for the Second Amendment rights of gun owners and then]m telling me who I should vote for, because....

I'm an adult, well over the age of emancipation and I can make my own choices based on intellegent deduction. I can also decide to whom I want to donate and how much. I look ar the NRA executives in their 500 dollar suits and driving fancy cars and I have trouble with the groveling for money.

That 'give money' crap gets old real fast.

Go ahead and beat me up, I just wanted to vent.
