sler come out with the "Solid Base " bullets, Red Boxes , I bought a bunch in 6.5 & 7mm. They were a super tough bullet, super accurate , & very elk capable. Still have a few boxes. Then the BT ( plastic tip ) came out also very accurate. The early BT were soft & would blow apart on impact, almost like a varmint bullet. I gave up on them . Now I understand Nosler has toughened them up. So, just how tough are they.

The new B-Tips are very similar to the old Solid Base. They taper from a thicker base and hold together nicely, but still create a very effective wound channel.
