ballistic coefficient questions . 6.5 mm bullets

You might wan to run this twist calcultor. the CE 130 is 1.417" long

I was just playing around with this calculator. I threw in some SWAG numbers for a 140grn CEB @ 1.650, my altitude, twist & expected muzzle velocity between 3200-3300. It looks as though it will stabilize albeit marginally. If I can ever get Cutting Edge to return my request, I will be ordering some (if they're hunting bullets).

Just got off the phone with CEB. Item # MTH-G10 140 grain.

Tech support guys are at SHOT (jerks :D). We'll see if I can dig up some more.

I think the bullet will be less than 1.6. I'm guessing 1.51 0r 1.52 using that and 3000' elevation for Eastern Montana and 3300 fps, I'm showing a SF of 1.51, good to go if they're hunting bullets.

I think CTF is fur hunting and not wanting massive hide damage.

I saw that, I'm simply saying that one should try a bullet and see first hand how it functions in their situation. I shoot and trap coyotes all winter for fur if the price is right so I shoot two bullets depending on price, one for fur and one for spectacular smack downs. For fur I load a 140 Berger at 3340 and for blowing a hole in them you can see through I shoot a 110 TTSX at 3600fps. The Berger simply opens slow on that light of an animal and the TTSX opens easy and fast and a coyote just can't hold it which is quite entertaining :D

I would have thought the Bergers would leave the big hole and the TTSX's smaller holes. Interesting.
