Just thought I would pass along something that has helped me improve my shooting between range trips.

The side yard of my backyard has a 25 yard distance to my back fence. So, I put a 1/4" dot on my back fence and practice my hold and dry frying from my most common field shooting position which is sitting across my homemade trekking pole tripod setup and my daypack across my thighs or under my strong side elbow. The 1/4 dot 25 yards simulates holding on a 6 inch target at 600.

My neighbor and I did archery practice in the back alley one time.
8 cops showed up with pistols drawn.
Apparently one of the neighbors called 911 and reported that we were shooting in the alley. 😳

We haven't done that since.

Unfriggin believable! I really question the mentality of the majority of people……especially city people! memtb

My neighbors garage was at the end of the alley, which we were using as a backstop.
So even if we had missed, no worries.

When we saw the cops, we both called a cease fire at each other.

When the cops realized we were target shooting with archery and we both called a cease fire, they physically relaxed.
You could see that they were on edge, not realizing the reality of the call.
