ATF Electronic Forms

You would think they would fix their problems before rolling out something new, but that is what you get when they aren't held accountable for their performance.
Efile will make things better in the long run. I guess I'd rather them implement something new sooner rather than waiting for them to catch up (which would never happen).

IRS has promised Congress they'll hire 10,000 people to process their multi-year backlog.... no word on if they'll keep them around to make things less God-awful in the future.

Government growth is never a good thing IMO.

What the proper thing to do would be to remove suppressors (at least) from the NFA entirely And streamline the process for items that remain regulated.

Is it "growth" when what they're doing is "quit literally not doing anything and give me back my GD money back like you should"? The IRS is very good at taking away, if they're hiring people for the "give it back" side I'm ok with that. For now at least.

People should get smart and manage what we give them better, but that would require a solid 8 minutes of effort at reading the instructions for the W-4 before they scribble something on the form and hand it over the HR person.

Fun fact - any employee can fill out a W-4 at any time, and the company has to make the change within 30 days. If we all turned our withholding down a few notches and kept more of our money instead of blindly paying the government and asking for it back come February every year then the government might care a little bit more about customer service. Seeing as how they'd be back on the taking side and not the "refusing to give it back" side.

As you said quit giving it to them to hold. My goal every year is to break even or owe $500 or less.

But still unelected alphabet agencies are bad enough, making them bigger is worse.

But we are drifting off topic a bit.

Talked with Silencer Central yesterday on status of my can. the lady told me that they got there first electronic order back in under 90 days so it sounds like there is hope.
