I've seen 6or 7 of the new production Remington 700s now at local gun shops. They were all RAR prefix serial number and all of them were the sps model's. Besides the serial number they looked just like the previous Remingtons.

I'm seeing Remington 700's advertised at LGS. But I haven't taken a look at them.

Remarms.com is now up and showing the "new" models-- right now they only have 700s and 783s in bolts-- no model sevens

Anyone shoot one from "rem arms" yet to see how the quality/accuracy is?

Had a 750 Holley double pumper on 340. Charger stock Carter AVS. Oh, and I own a Rem 700. Sorry for derail OP !

I caused my own derail! Good to see some 700's back out there. I did notice the SPS 30-06 was with 24" barrel which for my perspective about time! I just hated seeing good cartridges being throttled down for "fast handling", whatever that means! A .270, 25-06, 30-06 with 22" barrel is glorified tomato stake.

My fav was 64 Sport Fury convertible with 361 Cammando package completely unbadged so it was quite the sleeper! It was in seafoam green and Dang I wished I still had it!
