AR-15 slop fix

???
No, to fill the gap between the upper/lower, install Super 33+ tape between the upper and lower surfaces
Sorry, it seems like we are talking about different things. I thought you were talking about using loctite between the barrel extension and receiver and my reply was meant to mean I just use grease in that area.

This doesn't sound correct to me I believe a set screw ran into the grip screw hole will place pressure on the trigger removing over travel from trigger sear engagement. In essence a poor man's unsafe trigger job. I fail to see how this tightens play between the upper and lower receivers.
You might be right, I could have that screwed up although I wouldn't call it categorically unsafe, just that the adjustment has that potential.

What do you guys use to take up the slop between the upper and lower of an AR-15, I'm currently using a little rubber thing that goes under the rear pin, wondering if you guys got some better options

I dont mess with it. You can get those accushims if it annoys you enough.

The real issue is the interface at the barrel nut, and how a bipod and rear bag acts as pillars and then guys put their heavy face on the butt stock, and have a 30 oz scope directly over head. The pivot or folding point is the barrel nut and rail connection.
Most rifles are fine and shoot 1 moa or slightly better. But cheaper stuff tends to suffer with large groups that can't be overcome. And it's probably that area.
Springfield and a few others are coming out with platforms that are rigid in that area, so they know it's a problem.

That's bad! Lol
I can do 1moa with my Saint carbine.

That was his point. He said he can get a franken gun built with a decent barrel, follow all the torque / grease / locktite specs, and do it all for $800 and have a way better rifle.

Is he the only one that tested it?
I'm interested now in the samples tested.
There's a few more vids out there with guys getting sub moa with it, one guy was running it to 800 yards. Take it for what it's worth. But it seems to be a shooter.
As far as the 800$ guns shooting better, I don't doubt it at all.

True...MAC is a sample size of exactly one...lol.

In all honesty, there's not enough samples out there tested to really make a decision.
I'd say there might be 6-8 samples tested NOT by shills. The rest are probably sponsored by them one way or another. Lol
I'd say anything is great if they're paying me or giving me free stuff. Lol

I looked up reviews on this gun and it shoots better than any review I've seen on an AR-15, they use tension screws under the the upper and lower to take up the slop plus they keep barrel nut and barrel free floated as you would have in a bolt gun in fact that's what they compared it to, ok if slop is fine why are they addressing this issue and it shoots great and if slop is fine I guess I can have all kinds of slip, put way undersize pins in it and it will still shoot the same? Plus with slop the recoil could shift differently depending how you hold it. I just realized my savage AR-15 had that screw to take out the slop, I adjusted it and left accublock in it, nice and tight, been working up a load and gun shot a 6 shot .75 group, best this gun has shot by far, maybe got right load but maybe taking out the slop didn't hurt either.
