Most gas guns run less velocity due too bullet not under full length pressure as a BA would be upon exiting the muzzle. They also tend too show pressure signs earlier.

Single feed would work, but where would the fun be?
Accuracy Systems builds 7 and 300 saum for AR10s along with other short mags. The longest coal for a pmag is 2.830" Gen3 M118 magpul. SAUM would be more logical than WSM.
