Anyone Shooting 30 Nosler anymore?

What COAL you all at with these heavies?

I have an SR3 that was not cut for the Wyatts box. Currently set up with an HS DBM. It loads to about 3.6+ COAL. Hate to cut the action if I do not need to. Otherwise it will be a 300WM due to case length.

Currently I have a 28 Nosler but would like a 30 Cal. With the in vogue 300PRC is anyone shooting the 30N anymore?

yep. They're great, so is the 30/28 Nosler.

I shoot a 30 Nosler in a Remington XP-100. Gun was built by Jon Beanland.

Shoots the Berger 210 VLD really well.

My reamer specs (~0.170" freebore) puts the Berger 210 VLD right at the lands with the boat tail junction at the neck/shoulder junction. Also has a tighter no-turn neck and tighter freebore diameter than saami.

This one isn't going anywhere either.

In fact, I have parts collected to build another 30 Nosler XP-100. Just need to get them to Jon Beanland.

Sounds like a good pick if you handload. I would bet the PRC has an edge on factory builds and ammo.

Depends on how much you want to tweak and design on your own.

If you hand load I think the 30 nosler is the best 30 cal without wildcatting. It does suffer from short freebore but that's an easy fix

Just shot my 30N today. Fired several groups that came in under 2" @ 416yds. Using Nosler's accuracy load for the 180AB and H1000, I shot a group that measured .47" @ 416yds, but that will never be repeated. LOL

I'm going to rebarrel my Rem 700 300 ultra to 30 nosler. I've never heard any negatives about the 30 nosler.

I hand load currently a 28N with the 195 Berger. Anyone have a recommendation for a builder to shoot the 215-220. Possibly Hammers.

AxisWorks in Tempe Arizona has a 30 Nosler reamer (.230fb) for Berger 215-230 Hybrids, they build tack drivers. There are several folks on these boards that use them, get in touch with Eric Goss.

Jon Beanland built my 30 Nosler, too. It is a little bigger than @Buttermilk's, but still only a 24" barrel. I am shooting 230 Bergers at about 2890 and 199 Hammers at 3090.

My barrel is 18.5". I get 2800+ FPS with 210's (barrel has not sped up yet as I have 40 rds down the tube)
