Anyone own a 7mm 300 Win Mag?

I couldn't find the reamer print but have contacted PTG and asked them to email a print to you and me.
It is a 7-300win mag ai with .220 free bore.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I spoke to Dave Kiff at PTG recently about my own version of a 7-300 Improved. Sent him a first draft reamer print for comments. It uses a 37 deg shoulder, .007" less body taper, and .198 freebore. Left the short.240 neck alone. Think that's worth tweaking for a longer neck? I haven't heard of any real issues with it.

Am looking forward to what you may have done differently on your print.

I haven't felt the short neck is a problem. The rifle shoots amazing..at least at 100yds.
I need to stretch it out soon but have been playing golf more than shooting.
And I'm a lot better at shooting than golf..lol

Here's the final version of my 7mm wildcat off the 300 Winchester Magnum case. Chamber reamer goes into production today at Pacific Gauge and Tool in Oregon.

I christened it the Valkyrie, a buxom Nordic blonde goddess who is the "chooser of the slain." It's also a reference to the XB-70 Valkyrie, an experimental Mach 3 strategic bomber from the '60s.

QuickLOAD estimated ballistics (28" barrel; 66k psi max pressure; conservative):
Generic 100 gr Varmint Bullet @ 4175 fps
Generic 110 gr Varmint Bullet @ 4075 fps
Generic 120 gr Medium Game Bullet @ 3975 fps
Generic 140 gr Large Game Bullet @ 3775 fps
Generic 150 gr Large Game Bullet @ 3650 fps
Hornady 162 gr A-Max @ 3500 fps
Berger 168 gr VLD @ 3400 fps

Chuckhammer, are you going to make your own dies? If so you may want to order a size reamer as well. Just tossing this out there as getting custom dies made is almost impossible right now, or at least it you don't have the reamers.

With the 7mm-300 win I just use standard redding bushing dies for a 300 win and change the bushing.

If you give Whidden the reamer print they can make custom dies that will size just right and you dont have to have a sizing reamer. I believe they are around 2 months out.

Yep, custom dies are in the cards. According to Kiff the sharp shoulder should nearly eliminate growth. At the pressures I plan to run I figure the primer pockets might open up before it needs FL or body resizing. For neck sizing I was planning to use Redding Type S bushing dies with the sleeve hogged out by my chamber reamer. Ditto the sleeve in a Redding Comp seater die.

I dont think they do, elkaholic sent them a reamer print and they made me a custom seating and sizing die for my Dad's 30/375 S.I. I believe they may have a special tool from Switzerland to single point cut the dies, it looks like this:

Nate Dagley has one and can program his lathe to cut a custom chamber with it.
