The opposing thumb on the hind foot is a dead give-away -- possum for sure!

In Texas they have this mythical creature that is dog like but with fangs called the chupacabra , they suck the blood out off other animals . They've found cows dead with just two fang marks and no blood left in the animal . The vampire of the animal world so to speak . They have found animals like the one you show , and some claim to have seen them alive .
