Anyone hunting subsonics for hog?

I loaded up some of the 220 grain Hornady made for subsonic. They are really geared toward 300 BO, but I have them sighted in at 50 yards with my thermal and can. I have regular loads past 50 and hopefully next week I will get to see how they do on hogs.

That all depends on if you prefer killing them or eating the meat I 'spose. I always have one intention, that is to get as much meat as I can. Some of those expanders will destroy a lot of meat if you miss your shot...just sayin'...I do use copper, but mostly TTSX and CX, those don't expand like the Gorilla/Maker bullets, but a smaller, tighter, mushroom. They're still devastating to the pigs.
It only takes a few sows to fill my freezer, so I've always been more interested in killing them. I mostly use .308 & .300WM and try to go for head/ear shots. Might have to YouTube the 8.6 on hogs to determine if I need to get one. I have used the .338LM on hogs, and it it quite effective.

Here's the video, these kids are a bit korny, especially the guy that shot the pig with his brains blown out...so just see the damage.

FWIW, Gorilla does sell some 285 grain fracturing bullets for subsonics, as does Maker. I've seen ammo up to about 350 grain.

EDIT: this is another video using subonic on a cape buffalo. It's more impressive in supersonic, but that's a pretty big buffalo. 🤔
