Anyone ever used a barrel doughnut?

I've used one on 2 different rifles back when they first came out, and as near as I could tell, it did NOTHING. I moved it all over the barrels and even tried it backward! FYI: If you ever see a rifle for sale wearing one, AVOID IT LIKE THE 'RONA!

What will work is a tuner brake if your barrel is threaded. It's $250 or more vs $30, however... This is the old Browning BOSS without the patent.

I've had good results with them with many rifles, mostly ARs and one bolt with a lighter barrel. Most of my rounds are loaded to max mag length and after the charge weight is determined I use the doughnut. I might be able to get better accuracy adjusting seating depth but I think it is superfluous for me. I had two rifles it didn't work on. The first would switch between horizontal, diagonal and vertical stringing as I moved the doughnut. For the second, I was able to match but never improve upon the best load. Both those were bolts with heavy barrels.
