I just tried some 62gr eld vt bullets in my 223 ackley. They shoot like crap, like 2" at 100yds. Pretty surprised as this rifle is a consistent half moa gun. I was really hoping they would work. They have an impressive bc number and are pretty quick, about 3300 out of my rifle.
Is anybody having any luck with these bullets? Do they like to be jammed? Jumped?

I've only tried them in 22 ARC factory ammo. They did pretty decent @ a hair over 1" for 5 shots & 3130 fps, 18" barrel. Punched in numbers on my kestrel and made 1st round impacts on 1.5 moa targets at 400 & 600, said cool and put it up.😂
Not really the biggest fan of .22's on deer, but would like to see what the 62's would do. Shot a 5 1/2 yo buck with a 75 ELD-M at 40'ish yards and was surprised I got a total pass through (broadside behind shoulder), MV was right at 3k fps.

You're probably shooting a bolt gun? But I had the same results as you in my 20" 7tw AR

Tried a bunch of powders/charges and seating depths, all to no avail. Then boda bing the one combo of OAL & powder/charge and wow they're stupid accurate. I'm at 2850fps , though. I had to dremel my mag to get my OAL of 2.315 & bto 1.800

What's your twist rate?

asc mags will get you that length or a hair shorter (-.005-.010") w/o cutting the front.

I have zero experience with them however just looking at them (we have a few of the eld vt bullets at the store and as such I've looked at them pretty thoroughly) they sure don't have much for bearing surface; and a long boat tail and ogive, they're LONG for their weight AND extremely thin jacketed. Between both of those considerations my first approach would be to load them to the lands, maybe not jamming but definitely not jumping. Just based on experience with other bullets and general rules of thumb about what likes to jump and what likes to jam haha.

I shot a PRS with my bolt .223 and held my own out to 750 with them last year. Now I have a .223 Ackley and I'm testing them in it. So far with minimal load development I'm getting .75 ish moa for 5 shot groups and speed is mid 3300.

I have some, but haven't loaded them yet. Typically the ELDM's like around .020-.025" jump in my rifles. So I'd try around there to see if your rifle likes that. I window my stainless 20rnd mags to seat 75gr ELDM's to 2.370" in my AR. In my bolt rifle I just go around .025" off the lands.
