Any experience with Mike Hill, gunsmith in Springville, Utah?

Mike built my first longrange rifle about 18 years ago and did a great job. 6-7" groups @1000. He has also built four of them for me since then.

I would not do a build with a guy just because he is close. Make sure he comes highly recommended. I am in Provo and all my gun builds are build out of state. Don't be scared to ship your gun off if you cant find what you need. I shoot at Hobble Creek too

Steve you don't know me but I have had 7mm RHB do some work and 270 Win short has said good things about your work. I trust his recommendation. interested in building my 22 250 BDL into a 6 47 or 6 xc maybe a 6.5 47
somthing I can get close bullistics to my 270 AMP for a plinker varment and just plain fun to shoot long range up to 1000 gun I'm in Springville maybe I could get your # from Andre and talk to you about it.

I have used him several times to re-crown a barrel, drill and tap an old .22 for scope mounts and his work has always been excellent.

Mike is a good general gun smith and has built a lot of guns for local guys in the area. they all seem to shoot very well at moderate ranges.Not many guys here are into the long range thing,except 7mmrhb,goodgrouper, uncle"B" and myself to some degree.If you want a super job on a rifle the man to see is at Performance Guns in Westhaven Ut. But you will have to be patient as he has a big backlog.I have a 6MM BR improved by him on action which he also builds that shoots in the 2's, also a .243Ackly that is also a very fine shooter that he rebarreled for me.

This is the dumbest statement I ever read on here. How the hell can a gun shoot good at moderate ranges and not at long range? If that's the case it's the shooter and/or reloader's fault and not the gun plumbers.

He's close, convenient and I like the prices. Looking to have my Rem 700 rebarrelled to 30-06AI with a Lilja barrel.

OH ALAN! There is a 300 Sherman reamer right up the road from you I got close 3100 with 185 Bergers in mine (28" barrel) and case forming is nearly as easy as with the A.I. This rifle shot bugholes .......Rich
