Friend of mine inherited this and is trying to get some info. It's a .270 of some flavor. Sporterized Mauser? We will do a chamber cast to verify cartridge. The only markings are the ones on the bolt handle. I will be at his place later so may be able to answer questions. Thanks.

known as the M-1917 Eddystone. WW1 rifle in 30-06. Was used some in WW2
