I'm curious as to how many guys will have a trusted friend shoot their rifle during load development to gain a bit more confidence in their set up? First of all, this person has to trust you too because he/she is launching your hand loads down range. Anyway, I tried this today and my good friend was able to print .45 MOA with my Delta 5 at 100 yards. Granted the range was short and it was only a 3 shot group but I was pleased to see the result, as was he. It just seemed to give me a bit more reassurance. Do any of you do this?

there is nothing like confidence

I think it's a good idea. I've done this only once recently and it worked out pretty good. In hind sight, I don't think I always do my best shooting during load development, and that's probably a time when it's most important. I think I actually shoot better when casually shooting. A buddy of mine shot a rifle that I thought I had the load done with. He shot better groups than I did I think because he was just casually shooting. I had a lot of time invested in it and too much concern as to whether I was done with load development or not. I don't think me or him is necessarily a better shot than the other.

I swap rifles with two of my close friends regularly. I'm proficient with their systems and they are proficient with mine. We hunt together multiple times a years and all want to be completely comfortable with the others rifle, in the event that there is a problem with anyone's rifle.

I was off & flinching bad with the past load development & it was only a 22 creedmoor. I normally don't flinch behind big magnums and I'm not recoil sensitive but I had alot of high tension stuff going on and it was showing up in my shooting. I didn't even notice the flinch until dry firing. I had probably 1/2 moa movement. I'm shooting good now though. No more flinch.

I'm lucky I got a few buddies that shoot very well so if I'm off I can still get the information I need
Yesterday I couldn't get set up right prone my elevation was right on but I had a case of left and rights so my buddy step in

No! I am at the range first thing in the AM and I am done before my friend(s) have their first cup of coffee. 😇

Having said that, I have been that other guy many times. ;)
