Alaska Bull Moose

Cousin and I just got back earlier this week and had a great hunt. Fun & hard... the way it should be. My cousin came so close to shooting a brown bear twice but it just wasn't meant to be (he's an AK resident)

Found this guy on the 10th day. Took two days to pack him out 1.25 miles to the lake. So hard but so worth it.

Took two rounds at 580 yards with 200gr Accubonds from my 300RUM. Would have liked to be closer but the chips fell where they did.

When we realized how far from the lake we were, I told my cousin we'd remember this one for the rest of our lives! haha
My feet are still paying for it.
