I was working on a SR cartridge development and ran across this image from a few years ago:

Just a couple of yucks; Osco Drugs selling primers and the price, of course. Those were the days...

;)

From another forum:

Back in the mid 60's, we used to be able to buy 4831 from Hogdens in Shawnee Mission, Ka, in paper bags for under a buck a pound. Think it was about $.50 a pound if you bought 25 lbs. and that came in one of those round cardboard drums. Talk about inflation!

During my apprenticeship, it was my responsibility to break down the 50 lb. cardboard drums of H-4831 into smaller containers. I was told it was $0.50/lb.😊

:)

Found an old rain jacket in my winter fishing gear with a receipt from November 2019, bought bricks of primers on sale for a smidgen over 20$ and 10 boxes of brass case 9mm for 7.99....

Gold old days should be farther in the rear view mirror...
It not just affecting the shooting world, it's also going after the American way of life that we all come from.
