I've been very successful in replacing the spring with a lighter spring ... $7 solution and then adjustable from around 1# to 3.5# or so ... works great
great idea, forgot about that. Not sure how all the accutriggers get down to below 3#, I've had a few now and none got below 4#. Think I'll try the $7 route and if I don't like it, I'll get a basix sav-1.

Savage has 2 different Accutriggers that I am aware of ... standard and target ... as far as I know the only difference is the spring ...
