I put a Boyds AT-ONE stock on my Savage 110. I like it ok, I recommend installing pillars and, of course, bedding it.

I've looked at those but not sure about bedding one or drilling for pillars is this pretty easy to do?

Its not too hard to do. Bedding is pretty straight forward and there's lot of youtube showing how to do it. The pillars are a little more challenging. Here's an excellent series of videos showing a savage build installing pillars and bedding a Boyds At-One stock.

Sorry to resurrect the older thread but have you found a new stock, i have a Bell and Carlson target stock with the PTG bottom metal that works with bottom release, im looking to sell it for only 350+ shipping which is about half the original price. It was on my .308 Model 11 so i know for a fact it will fit and look great on yours. I also have the oversized bolt handle if you want as well, i can include that for an extra $10
