Hey folks. I'll be dabbling into the 'benchrest' game in the near future and wanted to know what you guys are using for your front rests? I've got a benchrest rifle being built (SML) and I'm gonna need a good front rest within the next few months. I've performed quite a few searches and found some pretty nice equipment….and some of the price tags are pretty impressive, too! WOW!
Also, this thread quite possibly could turn into "sell/buy" situation if one of you have a good rest that you want to let go of (shoot me a PM). I realize you get what you pay for…..especially in this particular 'arena', but I'm not looking to go broke simply testing the waters in the benchrest scene either. Let's hear it…

Sorry sir, but you are entering into a sport where cheap or mediocre does not exist…if you want to be competitive. Lol. Yep, ALL that benchrest stuff is expensive. Wish I knew you were going to build a rifle and such since I have a couple of friends getting out of the game and have rifles and etc for sale. Anyway, good luck and have fun.

Thank you, Sir! I would be looking at decent "used" components……none of that Caldwell stuff, etc for my application. 😇

Be vigilant on Accurate Shooter's classified section. High quality rests will go extremely quick, and sometimes at a equal price or a higher cost than a new one.

My stuff is pricey and there is a wait time.
I do have rear bags in stock.

Good luck and enjoy your new shooting discipline.
