ACIS Mags - metal vs plastic

He is building a 6.5 Creedmoor and no he is asking about magazines. I have seen people post here about shooting matches too and know a lot of people who do both. That said I was just giving him my experience with the magazines which will cross over to hunting as well. Maybe if you spend more than a month or two here you will learn that.

Might want to put the bottle down and step away from the keyboard for the night. Still drinking from the 249th yesterday? Lol
Is this the forum board equivalent to senior lance corporal you're pulling here? Lol

Just wanted to see if a mattress back could hang! You did good!

Guys I'm building a long range bench gun. I own thin barrel hunting rifles and I'm tired of waiting for the barrel to cool after 3 shots. Never owned a magazine hunting rifle so I'm in the dark when it comes to magazines. Basic 6.5CM. Nothing on the long side. Plain Jane 6.5.

For what you're planning I would just stick with an AI brand AICS magazine.

Any of the metal AICS style mags would work. I would wait until Black Friday and buy some MDT mags at half price. Not sure what mag capacity you want but you can get 5, 10 and 12 rounders from them and save some money. .308 mags are the same mags as are used in the 6.5 Creedmoor so if you see .308 AICS mags for sale you can use them.

You have all those parts already? You will like the Tract. I have the mil version of the 4-25x50 on my match rifle. Good scope with a lot of elevation.
