Accubonds VS VLD's

If your max shot is 500 or less I agree that you should be looking at the 165 gr. For the mid range a mid BC bullet traveling quicker will be flatter until you get out to the extended ranges. If you are planning on going past 500 (maybe even farther) than the BC is going to trump muzzle velocity because even though it isn't going as fast, it will decelerate at a slower rate. As one said earlier, that at 500 the 180 and 200 are traveling the same speed practically. from that point (500 is an arbitrary distance) down range the heavier bullet will have the advantage. A more extreme comparison is that of a 40 gr 22-250 and a 190 gr 308. 0-300 yards the 250 is hands down flatter shooting. from 800-1000 the 308 is hands down flatter shooting.
