Inter bonds have been my favorite deer bullet for years. I think they have a thicker jacket than Accubonds and hold together better. Interbonds expand 2x caliber diameter but hold together and penetrate. Great combination of energy transfer to the target and penetration to get the job done. BC on interbond bullets are not impressive and is the one downfall other that finding them available. For hunting situations where I know shots will be under 500 yards I'm very confident in the interbonds. For situations where I might need to shoot a bit further I've switched over to Berger's due to much better BC's and proven terminal performance at distance. Nothing will compensate for shot placement and most modern bullets will kill very well when place properly. However we all know in hunting situations where our environment is much different than the bench sometimes less than optimal shots are made. Confidence in your bullets ability to give you an edge in this situation is super important to me. That's the biggest reason I've shot IB's is I have confidence they will do what I need them to do.

I've never had much luck with getting interbonds to shoot, whereas accubond is relatively easy in quite a few guns.

We've had really good luck with Accubond LR's. My son has shot deer from 30 yards out to 565 yards with a 280 Ack. And all of them were DRT. The exit hole on the 168 grain is a little bigger than a half-dollar. It surprised me that it had the same size hole weather close or far away.

This is my experience with the 139 IB as well. I took a partial box of 140 AB's in a deal and they seemed interchangeable on paper. I've only hunted with the IB and performance on game was impressive, thru n thru (TNT), DRT, and minimal meat damage. I imagine the IB is the same.
