Absolute Hammer load data

Just got around to ordering 300 of the 123gr to do some more testing. Going to run them in an 18", 24" & 26" 6.5 PRC as well as an 18" AR and 18" bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor.

Previously was able to get around 3400 fps with StaBall 6.5 and Hybrid 100v but that was with a shot out barrel so I'm curious to see what speeds I get when the new barrel breaks in.
 
Still looking for that perfect 109 Absolute load for 6.5 Grendel. Only 2 listed on the spreadsheet. Hoping someone has some updated data.
I tried the absolutes in my grendel and could not get the accuracy so I stuck with the 99 hammer hunter its has been fabulous for accuracy and kills like a much heavier bullet I had no problems getting the absolutes to shoot in anything else may be a grendel thing who knows

today I was testing group size with .050" and .020" jumps.
.050" jump
42.3gr 3,114; 3,115; 3,119 (best group about 0.75". Going to load more around here and test for accuracy wi/o the magnetospeed hanging off the end; this will likely be my hunting load).

42.0gr 3,115; 3,096, 3,095 (magnetospeed had moved a bit on the first shot)

.020" jump
42.0gr 3,084; 3,087; 3,071

42.3gr 3,115; 3,115; 3,106

best group by far was the 42.3gr and 50thou

I do not have a COAL, using my hornady tool to ogive was 2.29" to the lands in my rifle, so i loaded to 2.24 and 2.27"

Ok, thanks. Don't know how you're measuring jump? Ogive never touches the bore on AHs?

I'm using the hornady/stoney point tool as you would a regular bullet, push them into the chamber/barrel until they stop, then measure with the hornady ogive comparator tool... so i'm not sure it's crazy accurate??? the bullet gets to full diameter somewhere, and i measure off of that. whether or not it gives me a good actual measurement...it probably doesn't. but I think so long as the ogive tool is hitting the projectile at the same point, i can use it to compare relative seating depths...right?

Th AH's go full diameter at the first drive band so you have half the bullet in the rifling already even though it's not touching
 
Here is a 123gr 6.5 and a 172gr 7mm AH with the ogive tools. They stop slightly above the first band. So, whenever I push the projectile until it hits the rifling, I'm basing my measurements and jump off this. Will that not work?

The 109 will eat up way to much case. I tried the new 97gr absolute and I ran out of case with xbr.
I have 100 new pc of lapua and am gonna try rl10 it had 85 percent case fill as opposed to 105 for xbr for same weight bullet.
That should give me some extra room for more powder accuracy was fine but was a full gr higher than the 99 for the same speed and wasn't able to stuff any more powder in.

A other thing you will likely find is that regular Hammers and Absolutes are not very sensitive to seating depth (unlike lead bullets). It is not uncommon to vary OAL by .040 and see no difference on the target. Your main concern is reliable feeding. I would imagine with your measurement method you have some Long cartridges. (Plenty of room for powder though!) Steve recommends at least 2 drive bands inside the case neck.
