Got 3200 with the 155 AH in a Lapua case full of TAC in a 308… we DID SEE PRESSURE SIGNS…
Were you seeing consistent velocities with each charge? Have you tried the Lee Crimp die? We have gained a good bit of velocity by crimping on our 6.5 Creed. Anyone know if the primer trick for the 6.5 PRC might apply to the Sherman cases as well?Loaded up some 155gr Absolute Hammers today in my 7SS.

ADG brass
FGMM 210M
Jump .02"
Varget
51gr 2990fps Slight stiff bolt lift
H4350
59gr 3129fps (Stiff bolt lift)
Seems like there should be more speed here since the 155 (158.6gr) HH gets 3132fps with 58.5gr H4350 (stiff bolt)
Not sure what to try next, any suggestions? Prefer to stick with temp stable powders. Have H1000, H4350, Varget, 4831SC on hand.

When you run out of case capacity ,with no pressure signs , then move to the next fastest powder until you hit pressure, and still have some remaining case capacity.Thank you everyone for the input. I had though the AH liked a faster powder but it appears I should go slower. Local store has 6.5 Staball and 100v, will give one of those a try I guess and see what happens.
I will try to order a Lee custom FCD when I get a chance to experiment more.
Sir, Does this block of data represent 10 shots at each of 5 incremented by 0.5 grains, that is; groups of 5?280AI

Go to Hodgdon's website and use data for the 175. That should get you started. I'd also send Steve Davis and email asking which powder he would recommend for I'm sure you're not the only one loading the 7 PRCI have searched through most of this and other forums. Does anyone have any data at all on the 7mm PRC with 172 AH. Looking for a starting point and powder recomendations.
