Not sure what your issue is. I have both 168s 175s for my 7s and shoot the 190s out of my 300 and all shoot good 1/2s all day. I shoot everything about 25thou off
I am not a fan either. I did find they like jump, 100-150 seemed to be ok.Relatively new to reloading but I'm curious how other have faired with accubond long range bullets? I just can't get them to shoot consistently in both my 6.8 western (165 gr) and 7 mag (168 gr). After running powder charger ladders and seating depths I'm about to toss them. I've had great luck with Berger EOL's and eld-x. Anyone having similar results?
I am shooting the 160 gr Hammer Hunter Tipped in my 270 WSM 1/8 twist. I also have a long throat so I can seat the bullet out of the powder.Yeah that's pretty significant jump, I gave up around .080. Have you been happy with the hammer performance? I bang quite a bit of steel at my place but stick to <500 yards for game.
I have a 1:7.5 twist, and was looking at the 148s. What are you shooting?
Hate to abuse this thread, but what ya gettin for velocity on these and what powder?I am shooting the 160 gr Hammer Hunter Tipped in my 270 WSM 1/8 twist. I also have a long throat so I can seat the bullet out of the powder.

AgreeTry shooting them touching or very close. I could never get them to shoot because I listened to the "they like a lot of jump" claims. I was fireforming some 338 NMI loads and had them jammed into the lands and shot a 1/4" 3 shot group. Tried the same in my 260AI and have shot them successfully to 1560 yards.
This was my experience in .300 win mag as well, with the 210 grain ablr. They'd show all kinds of promise and then it'd all go to .
A couple of Questions and considerations before you toss em. I found them to be extremely consistent. What is your load? powder type and charge weight. Is it a compressed load? They get the high BC with the ABLR's by giving the bullet an extremely long ogive. It's more difficult to determine how far off the lands you are with a long ogive bullet. I had lousy luck developing a consistent load with them until I shot them out of a 1:8 twist barrel. I immediately went from 2" groups at 100yds to under an inch at 200yds. Relatively new to reloading? Do you measure the length of all your cases, trim them all to the same "exact" case length? Do you debur your case necks inside and out? Then full-length resize? How many times have the cases been reloaded? How many rounds through each rifle? possible carbon ring? Try your next range session by not loading the magazine. Hand feed each round into the chamber. See how the groups are then.Relatively new to reloading but I'm curious how other have faired with accubond long range bullets? Are the bullets hard to seat? When seated does the tip show any uneven or wrinkled characterstics. Your bullet seating stem in your die might be knocking the tip (polymer) out of whack which will cause inconsistent grouping. Ask around you shooting range to see if anyone has a runout gauge. See if you can check the concentricity of your loaded rounds.Relatively new to reloading but I'm curious how other have faired with accubond long range bullets?
