A little confused.

Havent put a new scope on yet, but this may be a little more info to go off of. I will be trying a new scope tomorrow....but, I had this scope on my VTR AR15 all last season for coyot hunting. Never had any problems returning scope back to zero. We had it dialed in and a dope chart on it set up for 500 yards. It was very accurate. Scope would always go back to zero. Again, this was on a little .223. I realize a muzzle break puts reverse forces on a scope, but I would think it could handle it. Another thing, at the range the other day, I spun the dial probably 20 or so clicks up. Fired a round and as expected, shot high at 100 yards. I didn't measure to see if it was accurate as far as being high, I only did this to see if the scope would return back to zero, which it did. It was right on. I will continue with a new scope tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'm dropping the gun off to a local guy. Thanks again fella!

Well it may not be the scope but it is a good way to make sure. I have never seen a gun that would do that though. I have family in missoula, MT so if it isn't the scope then I will be up there this coming summer and will make a trip to buy you lunch.

Lol. Oh, I'm not saying it isn't the scope. If I had to guess, I would say your right on with thinking its the scope. I don't think I'm that bad at loading ammo, but maybe. Again, there are so many variable's, my shooting skills may be less than what I think. Before anything else, I'm going to have a friend of mine who is a dedicated bench shooter shoot the rifle from 100-300 yards. He's pretty good, can't wait to see how that turns out. I contacted him and he agreed to shoot the rifle. He also wants to check out the rings and rail, just to be triple sure. I will post results monday on what was found after he shoots rifle, new or actually different scope is put on, and a few other things were going to try. Thanks again Korhil.

Haha..well let us know how it turns out. If it turns out to be the base, rings or scope then I am exempt from the lunch! Other than that, start thinking of your favorite lunch spot :D

Well, figured out the problem today with the issue I've been having with consistency in shot. May seem unbelievable to some that the gun had absolutely no issues out to 100 yards, but groups opened up at 200 and beyond. Can't quite explain why, but we spend 7 hours testing and I'll just say, seeing is believing. Not going to bad mouth any company or product online, especially since I know they have great products....sometimes we just get a bad egg. For those that have been helping me on this issue for the last week, PM me and I will fill you in on what happened or what the problem was. Thanks to everyone for chiming in and giving me lots of advice. I'll just say, my hand loads ARE awesome. I did good on that part. Thanks again to everyone!!!

Just for grins, zero at 300 and see where you are at 100. Or, do the four corner box test at 100yds.
