PM sent. I think it's $43 or less a pound. All his Hodgdon powders are $43. He has H4350 and Varget and others right now. A lot of 8208.

8208 is a hodgdon replacement for an old discontinued thunderbird powder benchrest shooters used. If you have a old 2010 hodgdon annual manual there's the full story on it and load data for it. I used it, wasn't overly impressed with it compared too varget, benchmark or h-4895. If I remember right, it is like cfe223 as it goes from ok to just a bit hot really quick.

I'm looking for a powder to replace LT-32 for light bullets in a short barreled XP style pistol chambered in 6BR.

V133 is one of the most popular powders for the BR game. Typically pushing 68gr bullet from a 22" barrel.

It's a little fast for the BR case for the same combo.

I ended finding a couple pounds of LT-30 at Midway. Its a few steps faster on the burn charts, going to see how it works with this 15" barrel.

8208 and Varget are not the same 8208 and I think Benchmark #2 which is not sold stateside under that name is IMR 8208 XBR powder. I seem to remember reading something to that effect anyhow.

Nope. ADI BM2 is Hodgdon Benchmark. ADI Benchmark 8208 is IMR 8208. ADI Benchmark is not marketed in the US.

I had a friend that is an experienced reloader make the statement that Varget and 8208 is the exact same powder, just labeled different.

He uses the exact same load with both powders.

Anyone else ever hear this?

Guess 8208 and N135 are the same since I use the same load. Varget too!
