Hands down the best power I've used in both my modern 7x57s is reloder 16. Alliant also list full power load data. I have 2 loads for a 140 grain pro hunter, one clocks around 2750 and is soft shooting, the other is 2870 or so and not so much. Same powder charge with a 140 partition is my main hunting load for that round and clocks around 2920. It's accurate and I've killed plenty of big mule deer, whitetail, and pronghorn with it.

Both my 7x57s are Remington 700 classics. Had an old Spanish Mauser I bought for $75 when I was 18 but I converted it to 45acp

Been using one since 1981. Easy to load for and performs very closely to a .30/06 on deer sized game. I have culled feral game up to 1000 pounds or so and taken game up to Red stag in size.

When handloading, best 3 or 4 powders for me in several rifles was AR 2209/ H 4350 (same powder), Win 760 and Rel 17. Rel 22 also works fine with heavy bullets.

For modern rifle designs, aim for:
110gn TSX to 3100fps
120gn TTSX to 3060fps
140's to 2900fps (tried 9 types)
145gn to 2850fps
150gn to 2800fps (tried 5 types)
160gn to 2700fps (tried 5 types)
175gn to 2650fps (tried 5 types)

Just work up to these or near to velocities and you will be fine.
The fact is if you are 100-150fps lower you will still be fine. That's just one reason it is a terrific game cartridge and don't be surprised when accuracy is among the best rifles you have seen.

I finally found that VV N160 and 160 grain,flat based bullets gave me acceptable accuracy. I use Speers for deer and am saving some Partitions in case I want to use the rifle for elk. I had a custom M-670 that was accurate with 139-140s,but the Ruger is finicky.

crazy my remington shot a 3shot group with bergers cover with a quarter featherweight scatters same load like buckshot

Using 145gr Speer Hot-Cor soft point spitzer bullets, with IMR4350, with good results. A quick search using "Speer 7×57 load data" instantly gave me what I needed. Rifle is a Rem 700 put together by Dave Gentry and is his "Custom Mountain Rifle". Use is Wisconsin WT at moderate, wooded, ranges.
