whats people opinion on this round I tried a search but didn't get much . Can it bush a 180 berger to 3000+ in a 26 inch barrel or not even close I'm planning on loading 180's to 3000+ if I can or I heard you can get 162 A-Max's to like 3200+ any info helps.

I don't think you will get 3000 fps with a 180 in a 26 in. barrel, but you should be very close. My guess would be 2900. Check the velocity of the 175 gr. factory round.....

in the hornady book it lists a 162 a-max at 3200 and a 175 at 3100 thats what I was going off of

you should be able to get a 180 gr bullet to 3000fps. i am shooting a 7mmwsm with a broughton 5c barrel 28in. i get my 180 bergers to 3075fps and i have had them over 3100 but lost some accuracy. i cant imagine that you couldnt reach 3000+ with the weatherby mag. good luck

Go with the 7mm-300win mag. Your brass choices are far greater and the performance is the same if not a little better. Pac-nor has a reamer.
