Joining in on this finally after 7 years of searching I finally found a remington 700 in 7mmstw stainless and Ported with a factory detachable mag box. A good friend let me shoot his years ago when I was just getting in to big game hunting. Could ever afford one until last week I walked in to a pawn shop and there she was. She has a luepold vx 5hd 3-15x44 and I currently have 143 hammers loaded with rl 26 from 77 grains up to 81.

Congrats, You'll love the STW and the Hammers, run them up til you see an ejector mark and back off a half grain and let her eat

I would be enterested and both my hunting partners in the your brass deal. What type of brass is it and the big question is price. We are in AL. , pretty lonely down here when it comes to the 7stw. I haven't spoke with them yet , but I am sure they would want 200 to 400 pieces each. Please advise.

The 10th and 11th editions of Hornady Manual are different. I also check velocities. 2900 fps isnt a barn burner but it's not slow for the bullet weight. I use that load for a stock Remington 700 with a synthetic stock, no brake. My other 2 STWs I load a little stiffer, but they are semi custom with heavier barrels and brakes

Honestly, you should be able to get 2950-3000 fps out of the 175 ELDX. I run it with Retumbo at 2976 fps.

Off the top of my head, my loaded OAL is aprx 3.825". Again, off the top of my head if I remember correctly, I'm .030 from the lands.
