7mm STW Brotherhood - For those who shoot the 7mm Shooting Times Westerner

Really like that B.C. stock. Nice profile, sleek looking.
Nice,nice,nice.

I don't check in on this page as much as I use to but I just have to say...

7stw...I don't know where you went, I don't know why you left, I don't need to know the reason for your extended hiatus

I'm just glad you're back. It's good to see your infamous handle back on this forum again buddy

Eshore, life just seems to get in the way sometimes, of what you do, and want to do. And if I remember correctly, I'm actually closer then what you think. I moved to marylands eastern shore, around 2013. No place like home. Was pretty much in touch with Brother Bean, but priorities changed. Back on track, and glad to be back. Missed it all. Great people here, and brain trust too. Take care my brother, keep in touch, and THANKS.

Still itching. Just completing a new to me build. 700 action and barrel, Jewel trigger 1.5lb, stocky full aluminum bedding block, Leupold VX-6HD on it way, Talley one-piece lightweight base and rings, Holland muzzle brake and action trueing and bolt handle extension. I have bedded the recoil lug.

I'm going to start with Nosler 160gr Accubond and Rutumbo.

That's a good place to start, H1000 works really good as well

First of all, welcome to the brotherhood, and second, but actually first, that is a sweet look in Hot Rod, you hsve built for yourself. You are going to hsve a blast, literally with it, its truly the most overbore thst a seven bore, can be, and still be shootable, and predictable. There are bigger, none better. The things that myself, and sone of our other brothers here have done with it is incredible. It defines class, in a seven bore.
Any questions you may have, I'm sure some one will chime in and lend a hand, or ear.
I'll second brother Beans, comment on the H1000.
With that weight, that stuff really shines. Reloader, 25 was my go to powder.
Have fun, and Welcome.

Alright, this threads been a little to quiet. Where is everybody?

Who's got the STW, bug now?
Any takers?

AIM SMALL, MISS SMALL!

Well I went up to visit wild rose in north TX. Brought my boys. Got a couple deer and hogs. It was cool. We had a great time. Rose is a heck of a host.
But sent my big green momma up to him to get her a new stock. He's doing the work for me and gonna shoot it a little. So we will see how she does. Let y'all know when I get some info.

7stw and Beans. Ok I'll start out with H1000, I have it on hand already so I'm game. Hopefully you have some info or Data you have proven to work and can pass along. Currently this rig is a DBM limiting my OAL at 3.600. With the Nosler 160gr AB the jump will be right at .100". I plan on full length sizing with turned necks. And use a concentricity guage. I know every rig is different but have you seen success with this large of a jump.
