7mm STW Brotherhood - For those who shoot the 7mm Shooting Times Westerner

Does anyone still need brass??? My usual source is dry but I may be able to get some at the more expensive place. It'd be about a buck a casing plus shipping if they still have some (They did today). I'll see what I can do for lots of 50 if there's interest. P.m. me if interested.
I'd rather keep it to lots of 50(brass) or more; but I don't know how much they have at present.
Got the brass but they didn't have nearly as much as it seemed they had. I believe it's spoken for already.

Big thanks to 7STW.
I picked up a 7mm Rem Mag full length sizer which is now a 7STW bump die.

New brass shoulders move .020 with this chamber so bumping them a twitch should help the brass live a little longer than before.

Wapitibob, I'm glad that worked for you, as it sort of shoulder bump, and a neck sizer as well, without squeezing the bottom end, which to me, makes for a better chamber fit,at the belt area. I tried it out when I got my Sharpshooter, as sort of a trial and error, and it really works well. I noticed that the " ring" above the belt is bearly noticeable, and the lock up consistent every time. Once you find that sweet spot, with the correct bump, you are all set.
As a matter of fact, I now need to get another set of seven mag dies, as I had to use the one I was using as a bump die for one of my other rifles.
Take care, and I'm glad things are working out for you now, as you really went through the ringers last spring with your SPS. You are going to love that new Brux barrel, I sure as hell love mine.

I just obtained a 7MM STW in a Winchester M70 supergrade, Not a lot of custom stuff done to it yet. It doses have a Timmeny trigger set @ 2 1/2 pounds, a custom muzzle brake on a factory 26" barrell, and a nice bedding job. It is topped off with a Shepard 310 P2 scope and so far is shooting less than MOA at 100 yards. Haven't had a chance to stretch it out yet. So here is my question........I am wondering if anyone has built any good loads with 139 Grain Hornady SST's. I have played with 140 grain Serrias, And 154 grain and 168 grain Hornadys. I would like to work up a good 139 grain load for long range meds for deer and Antelope.gun)

I'd try rl25 at about 82 grains first; work up to this of course. Many of us are having good accuracy with the barnes tsx and nosler bullets (bt or accubond) with rl25 and 215 primers.

I have never gotten great accuracy out of the 139 in the Hornady bullets with my rifle. Tremendous difference for mine with the 140 grain Nosler BT or CTBST. Hell it's worth a shot to give them a try, gets you out of the house and keeps you away from the bar.:) I have killed a ton of game with the sierra's they have stood the test of time and are darn cheap!

At these velocities the SST is a flying bomb. If you're a big fan of Hornady and want to stay with their bullets I'd strongly recommend using the interbond or interlock instead. They'll hold together much better and give you very good penetration and controlled expansion.

Welcome to "The Brotherhood".
