If your getting excess on the outside of the neck that would be your problem , it just take a very thin film on the neck and inside

Yes. They will pop right back out after you fire them.
Too much, obviously! I also was using a 30 caliber brush to lube in inside case neck and not being careful to remove the excess. Could that cause the denting of the case shoulder?
I do have a reloading manual. Actually 4 or 5.

Thanks. I'm going to give the Imperial case lube products a try.
If your shoulders are dimpled do t be afraid to shoot a load through them as they will fire form back out once a charge is sent through them.Thanks. I'm going to give the Imperial case lube products a try.
