What about the 7WSM? Hornady has been turning out some quality brass for it. I just built one and really enjoy it.
I hear ya. I'm just not a fan of their short neck...was hoping to take advantage of the longer neck and shoulder angle to assist in reducing throat torch and improve maintaining bullet concentrically when chambering from magazine. What about the 7WSM? These are fantastic - Many thanks!! Sure like the idea of the extra powder capacity vs seating depth for a 7-300PRC over a 7PRC...Here are the print comparisons of the .300 PRC to the 7mm PRC and the 6.5 PRC
Very nice. Looks like a Hornady high end commercial. Where's my cigar and Bourbon? The 7mm PRC will be well supported but may take a few months, Hornady says introducing it in Oct, I hear Oct 14th ?
I spoke to Peterson Cartridge Company, they are going into brass production in January for the 7 PRC, so may see it February or March, I bought 50 pieces of RCC brass....stupid expensive but having a 7mm PRC built this week so wanted some brass to be able to shoot the rifle,
I have a set of Whidden dies in the mail, Redding also has die sets to order, nice to see companies supporting this cartridge before its even announced.
My first build will be on a Sako A7 300 win mag donor rifle with a 24 inch #@ contour 1-8 twist benchmark Barrel.
Those are actually 160gr Accubonds and one 175gr Berger Elite Hunter, I just seated them at 3.337" (3.340") to see how they fit in the mag box from the SAKO A7 300 win mag donor, and to see if they would feed and was no issue at all.Very nice. Those ABLRs look like the may be the leaning tower of concentricity.
