7mm rem mag bullet question

i have a remington 700 7mm rem mag im reloading with the berger 168g vld but was wondering if the 175g elite hunters would be too heavy

Absolutely not. Berger suggests 1:10" minimum twist, and you should have a 1:9.25" twist. Good to go. The 175 is a great bullet.

i elite bullets shot good out of my 6.5 so figured i would ask for this rifle. i just started reloading for this rifle and been using the retumbo and the cci Magnum primers is there any other good powders and primers i should try

H1000, RL23, RL26.

Powders H1000, RL22, IMR 7828, H4831SC. Primers F215M. Used them all with multiple Rem 700 7mm's and all have worked. Rifle will ultimately tell you what it likes best. Find the node and be happy.

The only bad thing about RL22 is it is very temp sensitive. I have found about 2fps per 1° of temp swing. Not good for hunting in AZ where you can have an antelope hunt @ 110° and then a late season elk hunt @ -4°. That equates to a 200+fps difference. And it really can differ that much.
