7mm Rem Mag and 180 Berger Hybrids

Found this old thread and thought I'd revive it a bit! haha. I bought a Fierce rifle 7mm Rem mag. I did a ladder test and found a couple good nodes--all of them .015 off the lands. My daughter was really wanting to "help" me and she made a 4 rounds. Somehow they were all .020 off the lands. I shot them for fun and they were FANTASTIC. My final load was 70 grains of H1000 and the 180 Hybrid. Ran 7 of them thru the Chrono and they were all between 2981 and 2992. The next day we took it out on a cow hunt and it made a PERFECT shot at 546 yards. She went down hard. High shoulder shot, pass thru. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread! I was going to try Retumbo for a bit faster, but 1 ragged hole at 200 yards is good for me!
That's awesome! What type of groups are you getting @ 100 yds with the H-1000?

The groups are awesome. I shot 4 rounds at 100 and got the group on the white paper. The Other group attached on cardboard is 200 yards.

That's awesome! I am using 69.8 of Retumbo with 180 hunting VLD's currently and the accuracy is (1/4")excellent, but it's killing my brass life @ 3120 FPS, 2-3 firings tops! Did a ladder test and will drop to 68.4 grns @ 3045 fps Accuracy seems very good so far. Going to get a load with 168 VLD's and my GTG load has been 70grns of H-1000. Need to fine tune it a bit.
