7mm rem mag 162 eld-x results?

Well said sir. I believe in being as fast as I can be while being accurate. This rifle tends to group better the faster I push the pill. And this is as fast as I will go with this particular bullet. 2900 seems to be right in the ballpark with where everybody else is so it's plenty for me!

Absolutely, research, then hone shooting skills.
Lots of people are unable to say them last words,"it's plenty for me."

"If you heard the shot, you weren't the target"

First go-around with the 162 ELD-X and 7mm Rem Mag.

Safe in my rifle, start low and work up.

70.0 grains MagPro gave me a 4 shot average of 2962, ES of 48 (I shot too fast, velocity increased with temperature). Winchester Large Rifle Magnum primers a little flat, but Winchester primers tend towards the soft side.

Next day range session the loads showed promise. I need to tweak the seating depth a bit. I'm shooting a T3 so I'm constrained by the magazine. Windy day!

It's a start.

Those primers look pretty flat to me. Try RL26 it rocks in the 7 Rem.

the ol man bought some of those to try in his rem700, and loaded them behind 70.0gr of norma MRP, he said 'they rocked pretty good but, were also accurate" he was shooting 200-300meters now he is no long range shooter and he said the lead splater just kept getting bigger...........:D
edit. win brass and win lr mag priners

I am also using RL-26 with 162 eld-x in a 7 mag. I was seeing some pressure at 69.8 gr & 3105 fps. I backed off to 69.0 gr @ 3053 fps and it's a lazer. Jump is .030" and CBTO @ 2.730", shooting .2-.3 moa to 600 yds. in 26" Bartlein #3. I took a bull @ 440 yds and it "smother fried" both lungs.

I found a pound of 26 yesterday, I'll give it a try.

finally got my rifle done, 7mmRm, 27IN Brux, rem 700 action. I settled on 74gr of H1000 Norma brass, 162 eld and 162 match, fed 215match. my chrono says 3110-3126fps. 75gr gave light extractor marks. 100yrd groups were .515avg for 5 shots

Two elk, one big 6x6, one big cow. One 162 ELDX apiece. The bull was around 200 yards (we snuck into his bedroom) and the cow was 375. Wrecked the lungs, blood everywhere, surprisingly little bloodshot.

White tail taken at 400yrds
7mm Rem mag 162gr ELDX
Muzzle velocity should be around 2860fps (per Strelok). That's an 83% weight retention

69.5gr 7977
CCI 250 Mag Primers
Hornady Brass
