Hi, I just got a 7PRC rifle and want to get into reloading. What dies work well for these PRC rounds? Thanks!

Any other sizing die recommendations? Had a Forster seating die and it seemed like the metal was to soft and scratched my brass.

I would love to try the Whidden, but I just bought a set of Redding Master Hunter 2 die set with fl sizing for 6.5 PRC.

I have mostly all Redding dies and have traditionally done so as I have a few PTG bolts and it's been my understanding that PTG makes the reamers for Redding. Since many are SAAMI cartridges these days, it's less important. PTG seems to get a lot of hate from the benchrest crowd which I'm not sure exactly why. Dave Kiff has always come through for me with decent product and tools.

They have a heck of a sale on a blueprinted barreled Weatherby 307 builder's action with a Stiller style bolt, recoil lug, 0 MOA rail, trigger and they blueprint it. Holiday sale for $750. Downside is it takes 1-12 weeks. The last time I ordered a bolt from them it took 2 weeks longer than the 8 weeks max quoted. I think a pretty good deal for patient people.

Now, back to dies. IMO, the Hornady micrometer looks pretty trick, and I almost bought one. I have another Hornady micrometer but it doesn't click, and none of my Redding dies click. Just mentioning that since any SAAMI cartridge, which 7PRC is, will use the same dimensions. Forster, Redding, Hornady, Lyman, et al. I think all of them are XLNT these days. If you can afford it, those Whidden dies look the shizzle...
