At some point my reamer will show up for my Benchmark blank I have planned for the 7-08AI for long balling on steel. Which Berger or grain weight is best for this use of the cartridge?
If I can't find the 140 Berger in stock what is another good one?I agree with the 140 or maybe the 150. Some will probably mention the 168 but I think it's a bit heavy for the 7-08 even in AI

I could probably part with a box to get you started if the VLD hunting would work for you. PM if interestedIf I can't find the 140 Berger in stock what is another good one?
180 eld m. Not joking. Give it a shot (pun intended). YeH it doesn't start as fast but there's not much that'll be outrunning it for distance. At some point my reamer will show up for my Benchmark blank I have planned for the 7-08AI for long balling on steel. What about the 184 Berger Hybrid target?180 eld m. Not joking. Give it a shot (pun intended). YeH it doesn't start as fast but there's not much that'll be outrunning it for distance.
Not familiar with it…I just know I love the 225 eld in my 300 and the big hollow point under the tip opens up every time very emphatically. What about the 184 Berger Hybrid target?
