Does anyone know what the difference between the PTG standard BDL style and the tactical bottom metal?

Per the description on their website, the tactical version will have a heavier trigger loop.

Im trying to see if this will sit flush or extend down below the stock a small bit. Several calls and emails to PTG have proven to be unsuccessful.

You would probably have more success in getting information if you would have put this in one of the discussion forums instead of the classifieds.

PTG's do NOT fit properly in HS stocks. They also do not accept the 2 stage timney triggers without some machining.

That being said, they are very nice.

I have the PTG bottom metal on my '99 sendero in 300 wby. I had to cut a relief in the trigger opening for the bolt release to work with a jewel trigger. It does set slightly below the stock.

I ended up ordering a PTG Tactical Long Action BDL. I'll report back on the fit and function once installed on my build. Thanks to all who replied.
