Will i be able to get to 3000 fps with a 26" barrel?

I assume with the 215 Berger? If so I think with H-1000 you will get close. Dont push it, take the accuracy if it falls in at 2950 go with it.

The 215 runs a little faster than other bullets in its weight class due to the bearing surface of the hybrid ogive being shorter.

I have set up some 26" rifle with this combo that shot very well just under 3k. But as Roy said you may not need it, remember with the high BC of the 215 you will retain velocity longer. This makes even rifles that start out a little slower muzzle velocity soon become the faster round down range.
