SD is 10ish & smashing steel at 800yds so far. Temps in the teens
Anyone having any luck with H4831 in the 180s……?
I played with it but had better luck with N565, RL23 and N560. I generally lean towards N565 in 3 saum's, N560 in the other 2. Ran out of RL23.
You can take a Proof 24" prefit and a Defiance action put them together and shoot N565 at 65.6 grains and 180 Hybrids ADG brass at 2.284" CBTO and they will all shoot 0.3 to 0.4 moa. Got three that shoot the same load same barrel and action 2,950 to 2,960 fps..

I'm hunting in such an extreme variety of temperatures……I feel comfortable with H1000 & it's stability in temperature swings
Fyi N565 I've shot last week when it was 80 and 32 degrees. Did not have a difference in velocity average. Fyi
My load in a stock barreled Rem 700 BDL that is bedded with a tweaked trigger and extended Wyatt's box is:

HbN coated 168 VLD @ 2.915" for 0.050" jump
2940fps average with an SD of 9
This load holds 0.5 MOA, if I do my part, out to 750 yards.

berger prices are killing me so going to try some loads with the 162 ELDM as the BC is about the same as the 175 elite. Assuming the 162 BC isn't inflated, ballistics should be good, assuming I can push it faster than the 175. Anybody loading these with N560 or RL23? Any type of jump they prefer?

Was or wasn't pushing hard? Those don't seem like crazy high charges compared to what I have used on my 22" with 175's, however mine is a long throat and action
