If you are locked in to a certain bullet then you will have to do what you have to do and live with what you get. If you are open to other bullet options and your gun likes them at that velocity/pressure....oh wait...NODE you are good to go. Just requires as much testing, time, and expenditure you want. It really makes it hard in the mind controlling mess of the world today.

You are right being married to one specific bullet may not be in my best interest and i will be trying the amax and eldx and possibly Butter Beans highly acclaimed hammers i guess thats why its called load development eh hehe

The 7mm RUM is probably the most picky and finicky cartridge in existence, so personally I would go straight to Hammers since they are easy to load and tune...unless you absolutely need a higher BC bullet.
Exactly, what powders, do you have on hand or available to you? H1000 while really good, is a bit on the too fast side for 7RUM with 160gr class bullets, from past experience with mine.
Also your indicated speeds, are just idling speed, give that 7RUM some fuel!

Two other potential powders that will work is RL-25 and RL-33
Nosler's load data page is biased towards their 28 Nosler. You can get some ideas on what the 7 RUM can use by looking the 28 Nosler's load data.
FYI not only does Nosler use a longer 26" barrel for their 28 Nosler and a 24" barrel for the 7 RUM, they also use several powders not listed for the 7 RUM. We KNOW they will work just as well maybe better, enough said.
FYI did you try to crunch any values on a heavier bullet with your twist? Unless you at lower elevations, a 1 in 9.25 will stabilize a Berger 180 VLD or Hybrid bullet. 2900 fps, 35 degrees @ 3500 ft is considered comfortable stability.
Try the calculator for your conditions and see. Bullet length is a factor so a shorter non VLD will stabilize more easily: https://bergerbullets.com/twist-rate-calculator/

I havnt any powder my good friend of 20+ years has always done my reloading though i have to admit its becoming more of a hindrance and i should drop the hammer on some reloading gear of my own

Thank you ill be doing some serious homework and see what powders I can get around here my elevation where this rifle is being tested is only maybe 300 meters above sea level and the barrel ive got on it is 26" but you clearly know one hell of a lot more about this than i so if i stary asking you way to many questions please feel free to tell me to back of a hundred yards or so haha thank you
300 M above sea level will show on stability calculator that you are most likely going to have to stick with a 168 or lighter.
Using a 168 gr bullet or similar isn't the end of the world. While a heavier bullet will have a bit less wind drift it won't shoot as flat. Impact energy will be in favor of the heavier projectile by a bit. You will see what I mean should you compare a 168 to a 180 on a ballistics calculator like JBM. They are very close.

Running a Remington Sendero in 7RUM, my load was a 150 gr. Swift Scirocco, over ~96 gr. of Re-25, and it chronographed at 3542. Two or three others, same caliber, all tightened groups right up, when that speed was hit.

I too like the RL-25 but have not been able to find any in a year. About out also. Can find 12, 15, 19, 26, 33 etc but no 25!
