Holdinsteady,
Where in Idaho have you been looking for h1000
All the local (Boise) gunshops, cabelas, sportmans wharehouse..........also been on the net for months and have not seen any in stock available for purchase. Have you got a source you would care to share?

Have you checked in with cliff's? You could try gunbot at about 4am pst. Sportsmans usually has it listed, order and have shipped to store

Wanted to share my load development with you guys as this thread helped get me where I am on load development.

I received my 7 LRM from my smith about 3 weeks ago. Loaded up 20 rounds in 0.2 grain increments, starting at 68.0 up to 71.8 of H1000 with Winchester mag primers and Berger 180 gr hybrids. Good node from 70.6 - 71.0. Did not see any pressure signs at 71.0.

Loaded up 3 rounds of 70.6, 70.7, 70.8, 70.9 and 71.0 with win mag primers and CCI mag primers. Shot this morning and stopped at 70.6 when I got this group. Velocity was 3175 avg with 13 ES. I am happy with results.

Rem action, 27" kreiger 1:9 tw.

Update: My 7LRM is shooting unbelievable, however I'm not getting the velocity that gunwerks says they are getting. The gun seems to like 71.5, 72.5 and 73.0 grains of H1000 but on the low end I got 2887 and on 73.0 grains 2980 over my Oehler. ES on the 3 loads were all less than 9fps. 71.5 and 73.0 7fps and 6fps. The barrel is 26" long and has 46 rounds on it so far.

I wouldn't worry about the velocity at 46 rounds. Most barrels see a velocity jump between 80-100 rounds. Some of my barrels have jumped 90-100 fps but most are around 50-80 fps. With the low es you are seeing and assuming the rifle is grouping the way you want, I'd leave it and keep shooting. Just my $.02
